The process of transferring international domain names such as .com, .net, .org, .info, etc is relatively easy, and this post will provide you with insight into the process. At Stallion Hosting we have made the process as simple and easy to use as possible.

Here are the steps you will need to follow in order to transfer your international domain names.

Step 1: Contact the current host and request the EPP Key Code or Domain Authorization Key.

What is an EPP code? or Authorization Key?

An EPP code or Authorization Key is a a code provided by the old registrar/hosting company and applies to international domain names (.com, .net, .org, .info, .mobi etc.)

Stallion Hosting requires this key in order to transfer your international domain from your previous host. You should be able to simply contact your previous host/registrar and ask for the code.

Step 3: Once the order has been placed simply pay for the invoice and then send Stallion Hosting the EPP code.

Step 4: Stallion Hosting will initiate the transfer process

Step 5: Lastly, please contact the previous registrar/host and tell them to accept the transfer.

Frequently Asked Question: Why is there a charge to transfer international domain names?

International domain name transfers such as .com .net .info etc work on a renewal system which means an extra year will be added to the existing time remaining on the domain name when it is transferred.
